Tax Problems?
ok this may be a little long so please hang in there, We have been having a problem with our taxes, we took the taxes to get them filed the people we had file our taxes were very un professional we filed our taxes a week ago and were wanting “rapid refund” they gave us a 1800 # to call for the IRS and the bank everytime we call they say the SSN is not on file.
So today we went and got our W2s back and filed somewhere else
my question is since they gave us our W2s with no questions asked could they have filed our taxes?
if they file taxes dont that have to keep the W2s for records?
It usually takes a while for these places to electronically file your taxes, usually more than a week. They should have been able to tell you if the return was processed. If they gave you the W-2’s back it probably wasn’t processed yet.
My advice on a rapid refund. Don’t get it unless you really, really need the cash right now. The charges for those things are criminal. If you don’t get a rapid refund, you’ll still have your money in 1-2 weeks. Good luck
