  2. I have been a Quicken user for over 10 years. This year I was a Quicken Beta tester for the 2010 product. There has not been a lot of changes over the last couple of years, just enhancements which continue to make Quicken the superior personal finance program on the market. I cannot imagine balancing checking accounts and tracking investments without Quicken.

I even use it to manage the accounts of my out-of-town mother and two kids in college with little to no effort on my part. Couldn’t do without it!

  3. First off let me say that I have tried MS Money in the past and find myself ALWAYS going right back to Quicken.

I’ve used Quicken products since 1996 and find the product – through all of it’s changes and quirks. This year, the Quicken Team has made some changes within its core coding that streamlines and speeds up some of the processes I’ve seen in past versions. Quicken 2008/2009 users will notice a marked improvement in speed when reconciling all ledgers. I, personally LOVE the pop-out registers but; some of my other test users simply preferred the old tabbed style so, Quicken includes a way for that view to be seen as well… Some people simply don’t like GUI changes. Hence the reluctance to move to new Windows O/S versions(Which I am also included in the beta testing programs).

In this instance; change is good – not like the false changes of the elections – real honest to goodness change.

For new users the interface rocks, it effortlessly melds into the Windows 7 GUI like it was made to run under it (Oh wait – it was).

I hope you’ll enjoy using the program as much as I have enjoied helping shape the way the program looks and feels. the bugs that I found, though in these Alpha/Beta and pre-release were minimal; ranged from critical to cosmetic.

And no, I don’t get a free copy – I just really like the product and the professionalism of the staff of developers.

  4. I have benn a beta tester for Intuit (Quicken) for over 5 years and found Quicken 2010 to be by far the best personal finance program available. I use it on a daily basis and am quite pleased with it. Byte for Byte, you can not beat the way Quicken 2010 displays and manages all your accounts.

Personally, I recommend to all my friends that they use this program due to it’s very intuitive user interfsce.

You would not regret buying and using Quicken 2010.

  5. I am a Beta Tester for this product. I had put off using Quicken for years because of the time I thought it would take to set everything up. This version is awesome in that most of the set up is done for you. You import your checking account transactions and it does the rest!
