How Do I Get Into The Wedding Planning Business?

I would LOVE to be a part in planning weddings for a living. But I have no idea how I would get into a business like that Like, I guess I’m wondering how I would get to be an apprentice or intern to a wedding planner. I just dont know where to begin! If anyone has any suggestions or info please let me know! Thanks!

  1. Well get the following;
    a name
    your own phone number for your company
    business cards
    an office
    advertise
    and if a friend or family member is getting married and the planner does an ahmazinn job, then yeah, intern there for about a year, then do what i said on the list.

  2. Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you’ll inevitably have as well as many you haven’t anticipated yet. http://www.acpwc.com/ — Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultantshttp://www.afwpi.com/ — Association for Wedding Professionals International
